if this is something you're doing to regularly: you can build a lookup. 1 column have the date. 5/1 - 5/11 then 6/1 - 6/11. column b: format as 'TEXT', type in 5-1 for may 1, 5-2 for may 2 etc. then in your main data - insert a new column and do a vlookup.
