Fresh, funny narrator, spot-on depiction of Home Counties in 1950s/60s. Coming of age novel which can be read in a single sitting. Loved it!

Here is my random (and not very up to date) choice for teenagers. The Psychology Book is one in an excellent series and Thing Explainer kept groups of boys entertained at lunchtimes in the school library. (Girls would like it too but mine was a boys’ school) More info in ALT text. #KidsBooksFriday

Finished this last night - a deceptively easy conversational read about a road trip and an exploration of 55 year old Tom’s life. Really liked it.
