Journalism is cool bc on my way to an assignment watching an archaeological dig of a former brothel in the mountains, I got car sick and had to pull into a gas station that ended up being Bigfoot-themed and that was just like a run-of-the-mill Wednesday

For anyone wondering my credentials, I had the high honor of meeting the king and queen bee at the 2019 Scripps Bee, I’ve written about 4,000 spelling bee-related articles and had a spelling bee at my 32nd birthday. (I did not win but it was rigged, obviously)

Empty playground in the back of the Cedar Run apt complex where ICE raided this morning. The complex is pretty quiet at the moment, hours after armed federal agents woke residents up around 6 am

Federal agents have masks over their faces. Activists are shouting to the apartment complex not to sign anything w/o an attorney present in English & Spanish. Activists imploring ICE agents to listen to the words of Jesus and “find it in their soul” to treat people with dignity and kindness.
