Deer deliver their fawns in the strangest places. Leave the fawn alone. Don't get your scent near it, touch it or feed it. Mama will come back generally at dusk. Healthy fawns curl up and sleep most of the day.

Please use nothing but plain white sugar (1 part sugar/4 parts water) to feed hummingbirds. Anything else can develop fungal spores and kill them. Plain white sugar with water mix is most similar to flower nectar. Change water every couple of days, especially in heat

Feeding bread causes permanent damage to ducks and geese. They develop angel wing. They can not migrate or fly to avoid predators. PLEASE DO NOT FEED BREAD to ducks and geese. Cracked corn, corn, peas, mealworms, romaine lettuce, watermelon, grapes CUT into pieces, cantaloupe-all good!

Wear black, change your pics on FB & Twitter to black, sign petitions, wear your "Trump sucks" T-shirt -- but recognize a few things: Not all the symbolic gestures in the world will count more than constant policing of your state's reps in DC - CALLS, not emails Not all the symbolic gestures in the world will count more than a willingness to call out hate, racism, and disgusting behavior when you see it. And to ostracize those who refuse to act like decent human beings. Not all the symbolic gestures in the world will count more than donating food to the food banks, clothes and furnishings and cash to charities and local schools or volunteering to bring hot meals to the elderly in need. The poor will suffer the most under this administration - especially the children, disabled and elderly. Finally, be careful where you give your money. Desperate times breed desperate people and that allows predators to rake in the cash. If you're going to donate $$ to "stop Trump" go with Planned Parenthood or the ACLU or both. My Twitter feed is awash with RTs of crowd-funding links promising to do something to "stop Trump." My mailbox has been inundated with "stop Trump" emails begging for money from organizations I never heard of. Don't worry about DNC - they have the bucks, though not the brass to do anything with the bucks.
