We're in a new building for a year. The faculty do not mess around about their microwave & I really dig that.

Today I followed a new to me IG account. Another account that follows them is one of a friend I made online about 15 years ago - she died 3 years ago in April. And it's striking me as especially sad today, for some reason.

Went to Brooklyn today. Saw some trains, bought some ink at a stationery store. Proud of my right heel for not acting up while I was walking around.

I don't know what I've done but I keep seeing things about corgis & unrelated, things about drums - memes, videos. I really do want a corgi someday.

What's the most important function of a copier/printer? Is it copying & printing? Because I've got a machine here that won't do a damn thing because it is out of staples. It's the week before finals. No one needs this hassle.

From now on, everything goes on the Christmas list. My dad never knows what to buy & I'm trying to steer him away from Amazon. Working on a list of online stationery & kitchen supply shops (there's the hybrid store I should open!).

I'm already tired of the word "cyber" this week, but I did need a new winter jacket & a new pair of base layer pants for winter walks, so I guess opening cyber week sales emails is working out. (But putting my credit card on ice now, thanks.)

Over the past few days, I've made a lasagna, roasted several vegetables, cleaned the house, hosted, & have now run 3 loads of dishes. I think I've decided I'm absolutely finished with Thanksgiving.

My favorite deviled eggs tip: use Gulden's spicy brown mustard & mayo (use the amounts you want - they're not my eggs). Instead of paprika, sprinkle Old Bay on top.

Reading about Jimmy Cliff's death this morning, I thought of the lady at Costco who sings "You can get it if you really want" as she prepares & gives out food samples. It's always fun & really fantastic marketing, I think.
