Yesterday marked eight months of detention for Hayam El Gamal and her five children—ages 18, 16, 9, and 5-year-old twins—who are being detained at an immigration facility in Dilley, Texas.

The kids have begun skipping meals out of depression. The 9 year old says she wishes she was dead.

As a doctor, I am horrified by what I saw at the Whipple detention facility in Minneapolis.

No medical protocols.

No real medical care.

No nurse on site when I visited.

No beds. No real blankets. Extremely cold temperatures. Minimal food.

These conditions are inhumane and unacceptable.

the Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex

Starbucks Workers United baristas are escalating their fight for a fair contract.

I urge you to keep boycotting Starbucks — and delete its app from your phone.

Workers are fed up with low pay, chaotic scheduling, understaffing, and illegal union busting.

Let's keep fighting corporate greed.

Trump said he wants to take over Gaza, and rebuild it. And all the Palestinians need to leave. This is exactly what I predicted all along. It seemed shocking at first, but it has now been normalized to the point where it no longer shocks me. He said it very publicly standing beside Netanyahu. W

She should be in jail for being a known Russian asset and instead she’s in charge of US intelligence. What a disgrace.

Amazing. If a professional wrestling crowd is chanting "fuck ICE," it suggests to me that large swaths of the culture are not just upset over ICE tactics, they're coalescing against mass deportations as a broader ideological project.
