Fun times! It still is a funny honor that these ended up actually tricking people that he was an official design, and thus, found himself in a bit of a limelight.
It still is heartwarming to hear how people in different circles recognize him, 'cause he's such a fun lad to work on :)

The design goes a biiit into that zany, "Kirby 64 ability" feel!
Besides the visor and baseball pattern he sports, you'll notice that his tail also becomes a sort of golf bag to carry along his gear!

But the main deal with this ability is how his moves work! Zoru's moves become very centered around sports, and Kirby will often become the ball to those flashy moves, launching the puffball in various manners at enemies.
Zoru also can volley enemies with his tail to prepare for a big hit...

and he sure has a heck of a swing

There were a LOT of ideas on how to cram all these sport-related moves into a moveset! So many different kinds I wanted to add, and I believe my hand deserves a break now

Both fighters have their own moveset and play style to them. Kirby mostly retains his original, all-rounder options; while Zoru is more focused on close combat and stringing moves together.
And the most mileage you can get from them is when you connect their moves together!

And of course, if you're making a fighting game inspired ability, it's gonna have supers. And there sure are a few of 'em here.
While each can deal a significant deal of damage, connecting supers together via tagging will get the most of 'em too!
