LISPOP is a research center at Wilfrid Laurier University which studies issues pertaining to the creation, use and representation of public opinion in the policy process.
But when asked whether the projected increase in house prices is good for the *economy as a whole*. Wow. British home owners have a ~50% more positive evaluation of this trend than do German homeowners. Interestingly, the effect is almost exclusively driven by a *drop* in evaluations by renters. 5.

When asking whether this is good for the respondents' household itself, German and British homeowners do not really differ. Surprise, Germans are self-interested too! 4.
