Overthinking somewhere. Probably about AI, PKM, L&D, Tana, AuDHD or solving problems for SMBs with tech and automation.
Well, are you ever my people. I feel this in my SOUL.

Nostalgia unlocked. I should change my handle back to lisamac and start using shims again.

Off to cricut “but I’m a cheerleader” sticker family now, thanks.

Yep fully agree. Thanks again for sharing the response.

Not about the products anymore. They made it about values.

This wasn’t ai generated. Thank you for sharing the response because you’re right the crowd needed to see it. I think the response is as much the problem as the original, that’s my point.
June 4, 2025 at 2:55 PM
The problem is that even if this was a rogue employee - which I accept is totally possible - the culture that allowed for it exists and this response doesn’t account for that. One high level rogue employee isn’t rogue - they have authority and influence. They are culture makers.

I can’t even. These dudes have employees with families to feed. They have a responsibility to them/ customers. No one wants to boycott a company. What people want is for the values they hold to align with the companies they buy products from.
Ps. You’re doing gods work if you explain this to them.
June 4, 2025 at 2:50 PM
It’s not 1999. That this was possible, discussed internally, mentioned an actual decision, and was shared means there is a bigger cultural issue at this company.

They know how the internet works.

I’m not standing out here with my pitchfork, I’m just saying do better, man.

Or they’re backing up beeping because someone actually showed them the demographics and revenue from queer dog owners. I need them to show the receipts. This smells like backpedals.

High school was a terrible time. Hah

I have lived the last 5 years on social media pretty much only using Nick Offerman gifs - most from p&r - because there is one for every event, emotional reaction and mood.

If I didn’t have to prove I can read I would probably be able to exclusively use his gifs tbh

But have you tried BeaverTails
May 17, 2025 at 3:29 AM
Omg I’ve fallen into “do not reply cards” and I can’t get up.

Agree++

Also, “I despair” is my new favorite response. It’s perfect. Elegant.

Some old genxer snuck Clippy code in there.

GenX may start a revolution when we get to nursing homes.

Having grown up from 45s through 10 disk changers and beyond we have expectations of agency in our music selection that may be the hill we die on.

We are going to be ungovernable.

Gonna be a lotta old tattoos ladies in band shirts.

I don't think AI is good or bad, but it will definitely be used for good and bad things.

Gas lamps replaced whale oil lamps. Electric lights replaced gas lamps. A hammer, a gun, and a garden can all be tools for thriving or malice.

In capitalism, AI will cause as much harm as people tolerate.
