The Act is outdated and should be modernized - but the definitions that take decision making out of scientists hands is worrisome. Ensuring that work with dogs and cats also benefits veterinary medicine is (to me) a reasonable addition - but the devil is in the details.

Frank was the kindest and most inspiring mentor and friend I could ever have hoped for. His wisdom, generosity, and care touched so many lives, including my own. ❤️ Frank’s legacy of support and encouragement will always guide us, and we carry forward his spirit in all we do. I’ll miss him forever!

For those following this thread - it is with such sadness that we hear of Frank’s passing 💔 He was celebrating others and sharing his love for the beauty and wonder of science right to the very end. He leaves an impressive legacy. We should all aspire to such heights.

Your post reminded me of this poem - I thought I’d share Frank.
It’s By Henry Van Dyke

Time is too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice,
But for those who love, time is
Eternity.
