The ones we use for IR are the TSUS540 from Vishay semiconductors, peak at 950 nm. nl.farnell.com/vishay/tsus5... apparently no longer in production. But I'm sure there are similar alternatives.

Thanks for the suggestion, there are some reports of green light perception by plants. So we went with infrared to make sure there was no visible light whatsoever.
