other98A 67-year-old runner, training for the New York City Marathon, was driving home after a long run when he found his street blocked by the federal immigration agency U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). According to his teammate Joanne Molinaro, he was violently confronted and allegedly beaten so badly that he suffered six broken ribs and internal injuries.Molinaro described the scene on threads;“This is my teammate from the running team I’ve been running with since 2017. He is 67 yo. Training for the NYC marathon. Coming home from the team long run when he found the road his home is on was blocked by ICE. He pulled up and asked to be let through so he could go home. They told him to move his car. Before he could comply, they dragged him out and did this. 6 broken ribs. Internal bleeding.
