Antisemitism is bad. Neither criticizing Israel nor boycotting Israeli goods is antisemitism.

Undermining democracy is bad. Weaponizing antisemitism to dismantle civil rights, kidnap students or interfere with a community’s right to vote all undermine democracy. #bospoli
Imagine of a post from Boston JCRC Executive Director Jeremy Burton encouraging followers to phone the Somerville City Council to preclude Somerville voters from the opportunity of exercising their right to vote on whether or not they support adopting a measure that would prevent taxes they pay to the City of Somerville being spent on Israeli goods while Israel is accused by International Court of Justice of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Boston JCRC has vigorously advocated for conflating criticism of Israel with antisemitism for 18 months. These efforts have manufactured consent for the Trump regime’s dismantling of civil rights and due process of law—most recently, the masked kidnapping a student from a street in Somerville whose only “crime” was expressing support for another democratic measure where members of a community had the opportunity to vote to support or oppose BDS measures protesting Israeli genocide.

#ICE didn’t seize the #Tufts student for #antisemitism, ICE seized her for criticizing the Israeli government. You chose sides when you campaigned to conflate the two—statements can’t erase that now. Fascist thugs are abducting students in MA. You spent 18m manufacturing consent for it.

To nobody’s surprise, our absentee congressman—Stephen “I decide” Lynch—made constituents wait OVER AN HOUR for his [not really a]Town Hall to start, then bailed entirely w/a BS excuse. TBH, ghosting gives voters a truer picture of him than any BS that would’ve come out of his mouth
