Aw, thanks! That was Radial Blur in action-- it took some playing with, and because of the multiple clipping masks I was able to do the right side at a higher level to make it look like the effect was increasing (I think that part might be hidden in the stack by some other stuff).

Thanks to @blambot.bsky.social for making so many awesome fonts available free for indie use! Even as I increase using hand-drawn elements in my work, sometimes the right font is the right font, especially when you're on a quicker turnaround-- I appreciate it!

The middle is just re-angling the letters and scaling to various degrees. Then I used the distort tool to give the bottom version the motion feel I wanted. I usually don’t include the punctuation marks in SFX, but this sound effect doubles as “dialogue”, so the exclamation point stays!
