8th in the #JupilerProLeague after 6 games. Not happy, not unhappy. Keep in mind we already had big games against Anderlecht, Union and Bruges. We keep working to reach our goal of top 6 and European football next season 💪

It wasn't our day against #Union, conceded our first defeat of the season. #Union always hard opponent to play against but our play was good and even had the better chances (backed by xG). Too inefficient today and came 2 strokes of geniality from #Boufal #COBW #AllezAG #JupilerProLeague

Huge news from Planet Group Arena, Eric Abidal (ex #Barcelona) signed for #KAAGent as our new Director of Football. Eric will oversee the clubs football operations, going from player recruitment, youth academy and staff management. Enormous amount of football knowledge coming to #KAAGent

I can confirm I appointed Siebe Van der Heyden as new team captain of #KAAGent and Matisse Samoise as vice-captain. Not because I'm unhappy with Roef but I like my captain not to be a goalkeeper because it restricts captaincy a lot.

To me a 4-2-3-1 is the best formation to get the best out of every player. Like I said before pre-season was too short to get my players adapt to the tactic wise. Team not ready. Asked the board to have patience until end of September.

Wished for more time to prepare my squad but we had to do it with 4 friendlies. Results ok but there was no real test against similair opponent. Players look fit which is most important in the end, but we need more time to adapt tactic wise
