If you’ve not been to Ypres, Tyne Cot etc I recommend it. It’s a sobering reminder of just how fragile human life is.

I remember seeing a large collection of photos of young men in uniform in a window of the Cloth Hall in Ypres. It had a caption something like this , ‘have you taken photos on your trip? Have you collected them? These men never did.’ It still haunts me.
