Y'all, look what showed up at the family Thanksgiving...I can't escape it! Also, that's my crust-free pumpkin pie in the lower left-hand corner in the picture on the left! It was a hit!

Nature experts, does anybody know what kind of tree this is? In the summer, the leaves/needles are green and it looks like some type of pine tree, but this time of year, they turn orange and fall off in clumps/clusters. I have never seen any sort of pine cones on the tree before. Any ideas? Thanks!

In honor of Veterans Day, this is my grandfather, Delbert Driggers. He served in the Navy during WW2. He died when my mom was 6, so I never knew him or learned his stories, but I wish I had. Happy Veterans Day Eve to all the veterans and veteran families out there!

Child Me wishes everybody who celebrates, a very Happy and Safe Halloween. Or maybe I should say "Hoppy Halloween...!" This was my grandmother's apartment, with her super cool 70's style linoleum floor...Ah, the 80's! And yes, my parents did check my candy for needles and razor blades!!

Step one for my roasted veggie and sausage soup is complete. Roasted butternut squash, zucchini, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Seasoned with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning, and roasted in olive oil.

www.delish.com/cooking/reci... Tonight's dinner was a variation on this recipe. Zucchini taco lasagna. Instead of rolling it all up I just did a traditional lasagna style with a ground chicken taco filling. This was really good!! I'm hoping it will taste even better tomorrow reheated!

This is an accurate depiction of the green jello salad. The walnuts are kind of ground up and then there's drained canned crushed pineapple in it too.

Current air quality in Seattle: Not good. I can smell a faint smoke smell inside my apartment. The windows are all closed, and my small AC unit attached to the window, is on. Likely the source of the smoke smell. Too hot to turn it off. Some choice: roast inside my apartment or smoke my lungs.

I would add this to it, as well. Specifically the creepy one playing the clarinet with the black eyebrows. That one still creeps me out to this day...!
