Retired lawyer (but nice). Avid reader, quilter, sometimes gardener. Love classical music & Broadway.
Our Guild has a machine embroidery interest group . We had a challenge to stitch out a Picasso cat design from BFC Creations. This is my contribution, with a little quilting around the outside background. I’m calling it double trouble cats. Size is about11x14

I spent the day finishing a backing for a Christmas quilt. I used 6 13x13 panel blocks and constructed wide sashings around them. I drew a diagram and bought what i thought was enough for the sashings. This is all i had left! Whew! #Mathworks!#quiltsky

I gave a talk to our church’s seniors yesterday on 15 reasons i love quilting, and exhibited about 20 of my quilts and minis I’ve collected. Doing the talk got me to organize my quilt photos & i still have 6 quilts that still need labels. Next job: spreadsheet of all the quilts.

I might do a longer joseph’s coat with vertical stripes, more figure flattering for me. A garment take on Jen Kingwell’s “wandering wife’ pattern, with all the one and one and a half inch colorful stripes as the background. #quiltsky

Quilt work in progress. Most blocks were from a 2022 Christmas in July shop in dallas area, plus the Lori Holt “present block and 2 thimbleberry blocks from a book. Next step is deciding on a border from my xmas fabric stash.

Work in progress. Most of blocks are from 2022 xmas shop hop in dfw, but added a block from Lori Holt and 2 from a Thimbleberries book. I need to add border (s); I’m thinking of keyboard or 4 patches outside a thin solid inner border in green; maybe some xmas novelty in the 4 corners or an appliqué.
