It’s crazy to me that someone felt or believed that their personal mission was to be the handicap police. I appreciate how you phrased this perspective that just because someone takes advantage of the system doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have a system.

My mother survived breast cancer twice and open heart surgery. She worked very hard in rehab and seemed like she was perfectly well, even though she definitely needed a handicapped placard, A woman once followed her into the grocery store to yell at her that she didn’t deserve it.
