I saw 5 types of Warblers while in Murcia last month, Sardinian Warbler, Chiffchaff, Stonechat, Black Redstart & brilliantly named Zitting Cisticola. Mostly Stonechat were seen all over. #Birds #Birding #Murcia #Spain

This time visiting Murcia, Spain last month I managed to get my best images of the noisy and well established Monk Parakeets around the locale. You normally hear them either flying over or in their nests in the many palm trees there. #Birds #Birding #Spain #Murcia

Good numbers of Egret & Herons were seen around Murcia last month, Cattle Egret in groups up to a maximum of 100 were seen but no images of this species sadly but Little & Great White Egret plus Grey Herons helped me out. #Birds #Birding #Spain #Murcia

While in Murcia, Spain in November I saw 6 species of Gull photographing 4 of them, missing out on pics of Mediterranean & Lesser Black Backed gull species, Slender Billed, Yellow Legged, Black Headed & my fav of these is the Audouin's Gull. #Birds #Birding #Spain #Murcia

Final walk short today at Los Nietos before heading home tomorrow was to try to get a pic of a cracking male Black Redstart in a small park area outside the apartment we have been staying at - sadly not seen but this female came by. I ended up with 69 species seen. #Birds #Birding #Spain #Murcia

Penultimate Mar Menor coastal walk today at Los Nietos got me to 69 species for the holiday with a lone Grey Plover & this juv Greater Flamingo showed nicely near the Nautical Club. #Birds #Birding #Spain #Murcia

A walk around part of Calblanque Regional Park near Los Nietos this afternoon gave up a few Warbler species, Chiffchaff, Black Redstart, Sardinian Warbler & Stonechat, Dunnock added to list for species 65 so far. Also Kestrel, Greenfinch & Sandwich Tern #Birds #Birding #Spain #Murcia
