Happy 25th anniversary to Shenmue, one of my favorite games of all time.

I hope we get to see Ryo's journey continue some day.

Ten years ago, right around this exact moment, I clicked a button to launch sales of Breach & Clear on the PS Vita. I had no idea this journey would last this long or where it would take me. I am grateful for every moment. Thank you to everyone that has supported @limitedrungames.com!

No, unfortunately the archive is pretty scarce on MMV materials. I did unearth some emails between staff brainstorming ideas for future MMV games.

Oddly enough, I have a great video for that of Bill Gates playing an unreleased "Make My Video: The Cars" on Hasbro's Control Vision console

Extremely rare b-roll footage of an Electronics Boutique in late 1994 or early 1995. Enjoy it!

I found this among 40TB of files from Digital Pictures' archive.

We spent the last two days in Redmond for a few meetings with Nintendo. Today, I got to eat a pizza cooked by Doug Bowser himself. We also played some Mario Kart, and one of my co-workers narrowly defeated Doug in a knockout tour! It's going to be very hard for any other work trip to top this one.

I am in love with our Dreamcast game case keychains. If it wasn't clear from our mockups, these little guys open up and have tiny discs inside.

Everything snaps securely, but I loosened it all up to show it with one hand.

With games like this, how was the 3DO not a hit?

Even after 30 years, the Windows 95 startup sound still gives me chills.

Something about it is nostalgic in a way few other startup sounds are.

Happy Switch 2 launch day!

There's no better time than now to confirm that Limited Run is officially registered as a publisher and developer on the platform!

We aren't ready to announce our first Switch 2 release, but please expect to see an announcement in the coming months.

Raise your hand if you know what these are.

This is one of the first examples of an officially licensed online exclusive direct to consumer game release for a major platform.

It's pretty much the earliest ancestor to the limited print publishing model.

Anyone else have this Sonic toaster? I had tucked it away in storage and completely forgot I had bought it from SEGA - apparently, it's pretty sought after now

Anyone else collect big box PC games? I tend to gravitate towards collecting games from publishers who used consistent box sizes and design elements.

A few of @jparish.bsky.social's hand-drawn maps have been placed on the office wall outside his door. Absolutely incredible work!

Once I learned of the existence of a Sonic the Hedgehog swatch that displays internet time - I had to get a hold of one. This is the closest we got to a Phantasy Star Online watch (which was the only game to acknowledge swatch's proprietary "internet time").

In case you didn't know, Limited Run Retail, our store in Cary, NC, stocks rare and unusual trading cards like packs of the 1995 Killer Instinct Collectible Card Game.

Should I buy one of the cursed rotting Ninja Turtle heads that is going up for sale at Heritage Auctions?

Legendary Pokemon artist Mistuhiro Arita signed my Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard TCG cards.

Pokemon Red and, by extension, Charizard, means a lot to me as it was the game that pushed me to want to make my own games.

Love the way the outer shipping containers for the CD-i controllers shaped up
October 1, 2024 at 12:46 AM
I don't post here often, so here's some Bluesky exclusive content.

A few of our CD-i spoon controllers came in yesterday. Only 50 of the gold controller exist - most are for the dev team, but a handful will be available in November at an event.
