Metaphorically occupying a spot in the foyer. In the building, but staying aware of, and close to, the exits.

Ask me about the scratchy wall covering.
I know I've said it before to you, but I'm saying it again ... congratulations!

I wondered if there was a joke I wasn't getting earlier.

And yes, those same misogynistic Mormon men were absolutely aware of the sex abuse.
Thank you for sharing. I'm furious this is the first I've heard of this. I went to scout camp at Little Lemhi in '96 or '97. Perhaps Stowell's arrest in '97 is the reason my ward stopped doing scout camp at the established scout camps and instead did our own thing in subsequent years.

My niece is an Eagle Scout now and I just think of all the misogynistic Mormon men I had as scout leaders growing up and how they probably hate that, and I actually really like that for them and for scouting.

Mad About You. I can't believe I forgot about Mad About You. They've got a couple of classic ones we end up watching each year.

We break out a lot of Thanksgiving episodes from TV shows. Friends, West Wing, Gilmore Girls, Frasier, probably more I'm forgetting.

The release mentions the model number is on a label on the back or rear of the battery. My battery's model number matches what is detailed in the release but it is printed on a label on the front, not the back.

Is that a meaningful difference in terms of the recall? All the other details match.

I'm old fashioned and get my rage out by stealing a printer from work and taking a baseball bat to it.

(If you're a lawyer, this post is obviously a joke and not an admission of any guilt)

In the case of Radio Free Mormon, it was recently published for opposition on Nov 4th, thus beginning a period of 30 days for someone to file a notice of opposition or ask for an extension.

It looks like Mormon Whiskey hasn't yet been assigned to an examiner.

This could all potentially be related to two pending trademark applications filed this year I noticed in my search. One for Mormon Whisky, and another for Radio Free Mormon.

Looking at the prosecution history, it appears they haven't filed any complaints since 2017, the last time they renewed the TM. It's probably up for renewal in a year or so and I believe defending the TM makes your case for renewal stronger. So they might look at this as a 2 birds 1 stone situation.

But I also agree with the rest of your post.

They do actually own a trademark on "Mormon," but it is primarily limited to use for "educational services, namely, providing classes, conferences, and institutes in the fields of history and religion" and "genealogy services" based on the registration.

I imagine if she had been able to go on a mission right away, she might have opted for that. Instead she opted for a university and I worry that now many women will not opt for higher ed at all.

I was talking with some old friends a few weeks ago about their daughter starting college this fall. She had graduated HS with an associates degree through their local community college.

I’m torn on the announced change. On the one hand, I really like there isn’t a separate age requirement for women than men.

On the other hand, I think this will probably lead to many more women not getting a degree.

I’d almost rather they had raised the age for men back to 19 instead.

But this is all in the context of polygamy where your male partner is also splitting his time with other women is supposed to be the antidote for women's fear of abandonment and signals male partner invested paternity?

That makes no sense.
