I think a lot of people can see what I see with Odobert but for those who don’t let me try explain…

I’m not saying he set the world alight tonight, far from it

The best thing about Spence coming into the team is the way he’s massively lifted our technical floor while not being vulnerable physically either

The way he combines with those around him is effortless and gets us out of so many sticky situations in our third.

You won’t find a better long term Son replacement than Mathys Tel

Although I think he ends up at 9, his ability to cut in from that left flank and find the far corner is brilliant

He is so good at getting separation in and around the box to get those shots off, just like Son was in his prime

Djed is the best full-back in the squad right now.

I think objectively he’s a great player but I also think this is down to the fact we’ve run Porro and Udogie into the ground.

Regardless he has to start on Sunday.

- His comfortability and manipulation out of tight areas is top

The head this kid has on his shoulders is not normal.

Played every position under the sun this season to a consistently refined level, at just 18.

Mature, assured, composed and relaxed in every single action.

Physically blessed with a great engine, solid acceleration and fantastic balance.

Find it hard to think of a better Spurs number 6 performance this season than what Bissouma showed last night.

So frustrating because at his best he’s so good, just lacks the consistency. Hopefully he can push on now because he was incredible.

2. Ball heavy/ dribbler player.

- Can receive under pressure and retain possession
- Can combine with runners and in tight areas
- 1v1 ability to consistently get to the byline, often providing for other winger

The fits:

RW: New signing (Bakayoko, Kubo, Zhergova)
LW: Wilson Odobert/ Mikey Moore

1. Output/final action player.

- Limited touches in approach play
- Get them in the box on the end of things consistently
- Attract opposition away from them to give them space to be decisive
- Conserve their energy for those goal creating actions

The fits:
RW: Brennan Johnson
LW: Heung Min Son

Ryan Flamingo would be the perfect upgrade. 🦩🇳🇱

- Insanely comfortable in possession, can execute all types of passes
- Speed and comfortability allow him to carry and break lines
- Fast and strong to duel, especially strong in wide areas
- Could be used as a reserved FB/CB hybrid when needed

If we are to offload Dragusin in the next two windows due to…

- Him wanting a starting role
- Him not being suited to the system in possession

(FWIW I thought he was very good vs Chelsea)…

Don’t know if this is unpopular…

But Jonathan David would be an excellent signing to take minutes off Solanke… 🇨🇦👇

I don’t care if it doesn’t make the most sense…

Bring this boy to the Lane.

I need to see that ability live in the flesh, the type of player you actually pay to watch. 🇫🇷💫

For saying we should hold a ban for our player being racist btw 😂😂😂

Evident that our defensive issues are no longer defensive transitions but defending our box.

This is much less to do with tactical coaching and more about leadership, mentality and organisation.

In my eyes, this is the exact type of game Brennan Johnson was signed for.

His speed in transition is devastating and with Chelsea often leaving their right side open (Reece James or Gusto pushing up), I feel Johnson could really shine.
