And so it begins. Approximately 5 cm of the white stuff fell last night. Just enough for me to get up at 6:30 am to shovel the driveway before work.

This old girl is officially 15!
She still loves her morning walks, though we go a lot slower now. Mitra is such a sweet, good girl, and we treasure every day she is still with us.

Good morning for a walk with my best girl, Mitra. It was stormy yesterday, so the old wagon road we walk on is covered in tree needles. I wish I could share the smell of the woods with you because it is fantastic after a day of steady rain.

My dear doggie Mitra. She's almost 15 years old and still doing her morning walks, though she moves a lot slower. We aren't sure how many more days we will get with her as her health declines, but we will treasure every one of them.

Today was a trip to Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. An easy 5 km walk around the lake with my guy. And yes, the lake really is that colour. It is so beautiful despite the crowds of people. Luckily for us, most folks stay near the lodge for quick selfies and don't do the hike.

Well, this is appropriate at this time. I have been experiencing a lot of grief and stress the last couple of weeks, family stuff, shedding some tears.
May my tears become the rain I need to water the flowers of my heart soon. May your tears become the rain you need too.

Well, it is sock season here in my neck of the woods. Soon to be followed by sweater season. A fresh pair of #HandKnitSocks are on the blockers. This is my own little pattern that I hope to share soon.

I heard that #ShowMeYourKnits has an autumnal theme. So here is my latest FO. The 7pm Tee. Available on Ravelry. This was a challenging knit combining stranded colourwork and intarsia. Sweater weather is almost here and I am ready! Yarn is Terrazo wool yarn by Scheepjes.
