“Kirby Aid Riders borrows its side gameplay mode City Trial from one of Sakurai’s previous titles, Super Smash Bros on the 3DS. In that game you could play a mode called Smash Run where you collect power ups and compete at the end. City Trial is a sort of spiritual successor to that.”
