Hai! ^^ 🐸 I am an activist & writer indulging in the fight against inequality & oppression 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
Here, my love, you'll find a smol blend of things I have interest in, including: nature, 2SLGBTQIA+ history, feminism, poetry, le spiritual thoughts, & memes!:D 🔞
Taken from THE AMERICAN JOURNAL OF
UROLOGY AND SEXOLOGY, with which have been consolidated THE AMERICAN PRACTITIONER & THE PACIFIC MEDICAL JOURNAL (Volume 15, 1919)

I found around ten relevant articles for my vocation of trans+ & gay, lesbian history in ONE volume ALONE—highly recommend

With exceptions, as a trans woman of the time attracted to other women wouldn't be a sexual invert, but rather just a 'transvestist', 'crossdresser', 'eonist' or all the other ambiguous, misleading or now extremely outdated & lacking terms.. pansy, too, though I'd assume more as an ignorant insult

Mhm! An absolute swine, he was—will be a happy woman when his day of remembrance is forgotten history.

I am bitter as fuck that it's always 'Magellan & Columbus' etc etc, but almost NEVER the crew that did ALL the heavy lifting.

Credit where it is due, but Rosalind Franklin was instrumental; It is a great thing to have played a big role in it's discovery, and the man deserves his credit, but in history, it was always the sailors that never got credit whilst the captain got all, or the woman got none & the man all.

Here is also a link to the author’s 1914 book “A Spirit Of A life”, which also has some quite progressive topics of discussion and critiques, namely support for same sex relations, and in terms of critiques, disparaging of eugenics & just how dumb it is…

"I sometimes think the larger part of our expressed thought is little more than sham and pretense. We live one thing & speak another. Even our life is more or less a thing of sham, too, based as it is on fear of make believe, with no attempt to get at the underlying reality of things.” — Mowry Saben

& philosophical ideas like Epicureanism/specifically Materialism (not as in money, if I’ve understood, but rather scientific materialism, but please correct me if wrong) EAR did not take to Saben’s philosophical ideas much, apparently lol, yet they were great friends until the former passed in 1935.

I hope this “child prodigy”, as one author termed Saben, shall pique the interest of others same as me! From what I’ve gathered, Saben was fond of Walt Whitman’s work,—

There is also a LOT more that I have yet to actually read, but they’re quite an interesting person with equally interesting views! The 1914 book apparently made quite a splash in the US, and Saben became soooomewhat famous for it... Though today most would say “Who?”
