Jawbreaker— Bivouac: Ok fine, I’m a convert. Was kinda worried after Unfun i’d be a Dear-You-Only person, but this is one of the great rock records of the 90’s, opening on their best pop song and ending with two of their wooliest, weirdest, and most bracing. Good shit.

John Zorn— Locus Solus: Generally interesting, but really not up to the level I expect from Zorn, especially in terms of timbral inventiveness. So many tracks utilize the same sounds in the same ways, and not to any productive end I can find.
