The BBFC says the home entertainment versions are 163min, whereas the cinema said the version I’ve just watched was 177min, so that would seem to clinch it. Didn’t notice much different, certainly nothing terribly significant.

The cut seemed slightly different to the BluRay version I’m used to. Possibly I imagined that, though. I’ll check what the BBFC has to say.

IIRC, we know mostly how hieroglyphs map to consonants, and we know (via Hebrew) how Semitic languages pronounce stuff. Source: mostly from watching the film Stargate.
