The dog looked at me, questioning. I didn't pay much mind. Then it peed right in the middle of the trail.
'X marks the spot,' I thought.
I dug, and below the fresh snow, my keys. A good dog.

Finally, decided to hail mary and take a rake and walk back over the trails, combing, trying to find something.

This can be frustrating when there's a mismatch of viewpoints. I think Jamelle catches a *lot* of mismatched attitudes.
For myself, I'm more of a pessimist by nature- but if things are probably going to go to shit anyhow, what does that mean for how I should act?
