I’ve thought long and hard (seriously) about why Avatar discourse looks the way it does and have come to the conclusion that the series just isn’t “toyetic” enough for people.

And then you consider the lowly millionaire. Do they all get into Elysium or whatever stupid shit they call it? Do they get priced out? Probably. I’d be looking closely at what moves my richer friends are making that’s for sure.

They don’t want to do anything. That’s the point of being rich. So who’s running this super city? The robots? Who fixes the robots? Other robots? Be for real. Anyone can write that dime store sci-fi novel in their head. You can’t escape humanity.

At this point I don’t even care about “diversity”. If they’re not your main characters it’s not diversity to me. You’re just casting everyone as the side characters of a white world.

Artists got kinda blind sided by Trump the first time but on the second they had something for that ass and got better at writing about it.

Adult swim is the only place left that will produce a weird thing that doesn’t need to appeal to everyone just to survive. Yeah, I think we need it.

Animation doesn’t have to be pretty all the time. Nothing is.
