This is one of the reasons I like art, you get learn stuff, & the stuff you learn helps with appreciating it on more than a surface level. Always thought this was kinda cool, but that came from dumb teenage me wanting to like the controversial thing rather than understanding the artists intent

Had this chat with my boss, I'm already doing the work of a grade above & will promote this year, but don't need or want to go further. I'm a single parent & the pay bump will help, eg I can pay off my annual holiday earlier but I won't need to give up time with my kid to do so & that's all I want

In a similar vein, my wee yin's a bit obsessed with Cthulhu for Beginning Readers she got for her birthday, I've lost count of the times it's been a book at bedtime. I'll be delighted if this keeps up as she gets older & can point her to all the "content" (🤮) on my shelves...

At a time when 500k have expressed an interest in Corbyn's new party, and folk are crying out for change these two reckon the best way forward is to mimic the other main parties? The Greens will sink without trace if this is what their members vote for

Thinking about it, I'd be more worried about a Basic Instinct leg uncrossing situation... you see some sights in Glasgow City centre on a Saturday night but not sure we're ready for that

Even though I know Neil and his ilk are nutjobs, & they're only becoming more hysterical, it's still jarring when I see it in black & white. I always think everyday people must see it for the crazy bullshit it is, then talk to folk in my work who'll tell me they've got a point...
