It's less about the speed and more about the tediousness of typing nearly the same thing many times over. Maybe it's my desktop frontend bias. You end up writing so many POCOs, factories and mappers that all function nearly the same VS suggesting autocompletions feels like a godsent.

We used to be able to just talk to humans about it, but now we're so brainwashed by the internet that you just don't know what manner of aggravating bullshit you can expect. In that way speaking to a people-pleaser machine feels safe and it doesn't charge 100€/h like a therapist.

After over a year of sabotaging the red cowls from within, the time has come for the final act. Eneíthio has conspired with the rebels to grant them access to strategic points in the city to mount an armed revolt. Once he hands over the keys his fate is sealed and the punishment for treason is death

I guess it's another facet of the ephemeral reality we now live in. You don't get to own things anymore, so everything can be taken away and the few things you do buy to keep don't last as long as they should. The ideal is a meaningless life without attachments, optimized to benefit the corporate.

Yeah, seems much smarter to train models on mocap footage for microanimations if you wanna go that route.

You reckon Elon would be memester enough to organize a purge event on a private island only to get purged first because he's actually bad at tech and his expensive purge protection gets hacked immediately? (Nevermind me, just spinning entertaining scenarios here.)

Well I guess we're already at the dead internet speedrun of this fad then, thought we had a little more time.

Desperation terrorism is really gonna be a thing now, I suppose.

What do you mean this year - they always had synthesized audio?! I think they used the Google one when I tried it before the pandemic.

Are we just headed in a direction where this "content" is made by AI for AI purely for the sake of "revenue" because humans can no longer actually afford entertainment (or anything really) after they've eliminated our jobs?

The desperation to get ROI there is painful to watch.

This. The publishers will usually let the author ok the cover, but pick it in the first place. Unfortunately there have already been situations where the author didn't realize the cover was AI-generated until it was too late to change it.
