The rule will disproportionately harm people in the South & Appalachia--as well as Maine & the Rust Belt states of MI, OH & PA.
They have more older workers w/fewer years of formal education & are more likely to have worked in physical jobs like manufacturing/mining.

The rule will disproportionately harm people in the South & Appalachia--as well as Maine & the Rust Belt states of MI, OH & PA.

The Trump Admin rule would make it much more difficult to qualify for both SSDI and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
Because it would dramatically change the eligibility criteria for older applicants, the losses among people over age 50 would be much deeper.
