I've entered my deepest rabbit hole of miniature wargaming with this game that scratches all my itches and has returned to me the feeling of discovery/exploration I enjoyed when I played Skyrim/[insert aimless wandering game here] for the first time.

I have PtG Skaven to work on, KO to arm, and finally figured-out Fyreslayers to paint and base! So what do I do? Work on Inneath elves for Ghost Archipelago 💀

To nobody’s surprise, the most abusive force in the race to the treasure ship is the insurance company. However, for the first time, the Captain is taken down! Ignobly too, as a horse tramples on him during the Angankorian Expedition’s retreat. That’s going to leave a mark.

Despite my making 8 clusters for today, they roll the minimum 2 clusters and no twists, making this a truly unprofitable field and arousing my Skaven schadenfreude at these two CoS forces.

The last Black Library book I had to order on my own and the first one brought in by Ban Kee as distributor fulfilled by my LGS The Dragonforge. At last, easy and reliable access for me here in the Philippines!

This time, the battle is fought at a found entrance to the mysterious Orruk marshes, the next zone on the way to the antlion-volcano, Mt Doom-Doom. Again, the Doom-Rotor gets skitterleaped forward to grab an early objective and falls to cannon fire.

Another airship enemy (all these airships are proving Skreelin's place as a Mortal Engines YA protagonist)! The Poet is a mutated human who found acceptance in the Reclaimed city of Kroqstone and was baptised by the Kroxigor there. They seek a future for the city which accepted them.

Unfortunately for Clatterclaw leadership, they don't perform too great. After some fire from Le Capitaine Escargot Aeronautique, the Doom-Rotor skitterleaps near but fails the charge. With the Deckbreakers helping, they takes the ship down to 1 Health... and fail to chip that off before retaliation.

The battle is long and hard fought, only ending when two heroes meet in mortal combat. Arkrat emerges victorious and The Unfettered claim the encampment and its precious Amberbone supplies.

The Red Axes come to the Sundered Lands for Ur-gold in this region that has not seen duardin for hundreds of years. Perhaps the crashed treasure ship carries some. The Unfettered are refugee Darkoath of Aqshy come to join distant cousins and find security, but doing so requires a worthy offering...
