ALERT!

South Carolina wants to do away with the requirement that chief librarians have a degree in librarianship. This is yet another partisan bill directly targeting professionalization, education, and certification of librarians.

JD Vance hinted last week that the Trump administration wants to officially stop funding family planning abroad.

Not only would that be devastating globally—but would mark another key step in attacking contraception here in the U.S.

Here is a very pretty picture.

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones from me and my loved ones.

Day 24 - Chamomile Mint Citrus Green Tea

A sad ending for a fun advent calendar. I was hoping for more mint and citrus in order to cancel out the chamomile but that is not how it worked out.
I think I'll reorder the teas so that I go from least liked to favorite next year.

And now it's Christmas!

Day 23 - Chocolate Vanilla Herbal Tea Tisane
This one's a rooibos, which I typically don't love, but the chocolate and vanilla mix really well with the honeybush. This was surprisingly yummy!

Day 22 - Blooming Rose Black Tea
This was not nearly as rosy as some of my other rose tea. The rose was mild and complimented the black tea wonderfully, instead of being overpowering. I enjoyed it!

Day 21, winter solstice - Turmeric Pepper Herbal Tea Tisane
At least I can look forward to the light returning.

Day 20 - Ginger Masala Chai
This is my third favorite of the masala chais. I love the spicy ginger kick. It's good plain and with milk and honey.

Day 19 - Turmeric Chamomile Herbal Tisane Tea
I did not drink this one, I really don't like chamomile and I suspected the turmeric wouldn't improve it.
December 20, 2025 at 6:41 PM
Day 18 - Moringa Tulsi Green Tea
I didn't hate it, despite the boring yet unpleasant moringa, but I wouldn't choose it if given a choice. I'd take the plain hot water, instead.

Day 17 - Daily Darjeeling Second Flush Black Tea
Much like the first flush, I did not notice notes of second flush. However, also like first flush, it's delicious and I loved it.

Day 16 - Turmeric Moringa Herbal Tea Tisane
Here's another one I didn't like for pretty much the same reasons I didn't like the turmeric Ashwaganda. Moringa doesn't make me feel slightly ill, it's just an unpleasant flavor to me. Boring but somehow unpleasant.

Day 15 - Kashmiri Kahwa Spice Green Tea
I don't know what this was supposed to taste like so I can't say whether or not it was good as Kashmiri Kahwa Spice Green Tea. I may have made it incorrectly, as well. This cup was fine? I guess? A bit bland. I didn't get much spice or much green tea.

Day 14 - Lemon Ginger Green Tea
Ok, I know this may not sound appealing, but this tastes like hot, flat ginger beer. The ginger is a bit spicy and the lemon is bright and tart. It's a good warming tea, a good tea for sore throats, a good comforting tea, and would be amazing iced. I loved it.

Day 13 - Darjeeling Premium First Flush Black Tea.
I love Darjeeling and this one was superb. I don't have a sophisticated enough palette to taste the first flushness, but I enjoyed this immensely, nonetheless. I drank it straight so I could savor every little bit of flavor.

Day 12 - Earl Grey Masala Chai

How Colonial! I love Earl Grey, though, and I love Masala Chai and the two flavors combined beautifully in this tea. I tried it plain and then with milk and honey and both were delicious.

Day 11 - Turmeric Ashwaganda Herbal Tea Tisane.

It took 11 days to find a tea I don't like. It reminded me of ginseng tea with its dirt-like scent but it went down like chamomile, which I also don't like. Honey didn't help, either.

Day 10 - Vanilla Spice Masala Chai

I liked this but I like plain masala chai better. I've come to realize I don't care much for vanilla in chai.

I have this in one of my other gift boxes so already knew how it tastes. I like it well enough but probably wouldn't buy it on its own.
