Apache OpenOffice's last major update was in 2014. It's had some minor updates since, but a history of not fixing security issues on time: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_... – Virtually all development in the last decade has been in LibreOffice, which has huge improvements and vital fixes.

Be careful, as OpenOffice has years-old, unfixed security problems: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_... – It's far safer to use one of the actively maintained and fixed successor projects, still free and open source (such as LibreOffice).

Ah, that's a test page for a redesign, and not sure why it's coming up for you. When we search for "LibreOffice download" on DuckDuckGo we get the official current download page, at www.libreoffice.org/download/dow... – Use that to download the software!

Hi again! You don't need the latest OS (macOS 26). LibreOffice runs on macOS 10.15, which was released in 2019. On the Download page, choose the right version for your Mac – Intel or Apple Silicon. The latter is the default, but if you have an Intel Mac, you will need to choose the Intel version.
