Teenager update: 15yo writes me emails throughout the day (b/c they can’t have their phones and therefore can’t text - it really is a renaissance of email.) Anyway, she now thinks she’s an ‘academic weapon’ whatever that is.

So, I’m in the middle of reading this book, which is about the thousands of people who were disappeared by fascists in Argentina (and whose babies were stolen) in the 70s. Great book, awful that this stuff keeps repeating in history. #booksky

Teens had band camp last week. Every musical section designs a tshirt and I’m super impressed with the trombone one this year. Had no idea these kids even knew about #Tron.

Someone donated these circa late 80s/early 90s pocket paperbacks to a local library I was working at and I had to save a few (unlikely they would’ve been put in their book sale.😢)

I’m almost a third of the way through Remarkably Bright Creatures and I don’t get the hype. I’m reading it b/c my 14yo has to read it for summer reading. She actually likes reading but I don’t think it’s gonna keep her interest. Idk why they picked this book; maybe it gets better later.

We were at an Indians game a few years ago and they delayed the start because there was rain coming. Like today, it was far off…like far enough away that at least several innings could be played.
We ended up leaving that game. Idk if the rain even came.
