Mom of 3, rug hooker, huge reader of romance & historical fiction, lover of history, Children's librarian. Fortunate to live in the very blue state of MD.

Having finally embraced my geekdom, I happily have a 'I break for historical markers' car magnet!
Our branch has a copy-- Ill definitely put it on display on Saturday- I'm sure patrons will be interested!

I've played that game - 'AI gave me this source - does it exist?'

Nope!

I was lucky - the patron
1) told me he got the resource from AI
2) understood that AI could give false responses

Celebrate!!

Wow - I absolutely couldn't tell! 'Ouch', 'that back is absolutely georgeous', 'she is absolutely stunning', 'isn't she cold' & 'is she going to wear that for the entire ceremony?' were my first thoughts.

Can you tell I'm a parent?

Really -- it was irking me!! 😂

Still, I like my selection...I only read it a year or two ago, and it is still absolutely powerful. So many of the traditional 'classics' don't land as well now.

All Quiet on the Western Front.
1929
It really stands the test of time.

I'm going to find one!! So far, I've got 1966 & 1951! :)

@jenreadsromance.bsky.social , you're going to love it!

It was *soo* good!! And Amazon released it a day early -- lucky I had already finished your book - also really good!

Fun week of reading!
January 31, 2026 at 10:39 AM
Reading it now! Just put the tablet down to charge! :)
January 28, 2026 at 12:25 AM
Absolutely beautiful!

I don't disagree, but I suspect they are testing the messages that will bring the most crossover votes from Independent voters.
Dem's are already on board.

What's the yarn you are using? I love the look of it hooked!

Here's what I'm starting - taking a Jane McGowen Flynn pattern (Color Play) and experimenting with different techniques.

I want to see the rug!! :)

Enjoy your trip - looks amazing!

Nice to remember the wonders in this world!

They are the same ones that ignored the Officers on Jan. 6th. The hypocrisy astounds me.

Anything I can do to help - let me know. Enjoy!!
January 5, 2026 at 8:54 PM
Also: I have. I don't expect to get in, but I'm hoping I get feedback. Any chance to learn. :)

Why not?? Your work is clearly expert, etc.

Or write an article about your process of creating & applying for the exhibition...
January 4, 2026 at 8:55 PM
100%! I'm glad it's not just me!

I'd definitely consider submitting that to RHM's Celebrations next year!

Do you ever go back through and fill in some of the gaps or areas you missed hooking? I spend what is probably *way* too much time hooking off frame to catch those spots I missed initially...
January 4, 2026 at 7:29 PM
That is absolutely amazing!! Going back through your posts for the front!
January 4, 2026 at 7:24 PM
An absolute favorite of mine - gave it to my 20 year old for Chanukkah!
January 4, 2026 at 4:23 PM
I'm assuming you know about Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library & Mysterious Benedict Society.

The Mystery of Locked Rooms by Lindsay Currie is a definite read alike.

Also try Candymakers by Wendy Mass - has a neat combination of mystery & spy story set during a candy making competition.
