Customer notice saying, Unfortunately, Bookbug sessions due to take place in Uddingston Library on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th November, have had to be cancelled, as has the 10:00am session in Cambuslang Library on Friday 28th. Thursday 27th November at Cambuslang Library is unaffected and all planned children's activities will go ahead as normal. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Atkinson-Pryce Books in collaboration with the Lint Mill welcomed author Arthur Parkinson to Biggar Library.
Arthur's latest book, Hen Party is a riotous celebration of all things chicken, descriptions of rare breeds and more commonly found birds plus tips on how best to keep them.

Uddingston Library had a well-attended talk yesterday by local writer and mindfulness teacher Martin Stepek, covering his inspiration to start writing poetry, his life experience that led him to mindfulness, and some very moving personal reminiscences. Thanks Martin, and to all who came along 🙂.

One of Scotland’s most renowned businessmen, and the longest-serving chairman of Hamilton Accies in the post-war era, Jan Stepek was a prominent resident of Hamilton for over sixty years. He lost his home, his country, his father, his mother to starvation, and all his boyhood dreams as he slaved in a Soviet labour camp. We raised £244.45 at our Coffee Morning in Carluke Library on Wednesday 29th October.
We have a sales table with items donated by the knitting & crochet clubs in the Library, including some kindly donated plants and homemade chutney. Why not come in and have a look? All proceeds going to Macmillan.
