Duress Crew's Lobstercon Premodern Side Event 2024

Repost of the finals of the 2024 Lobstercon side event that I typed up from play-by-play coverage posted in the premodern discord. I havent written coverage in forever this was a blast to do!

4-1 In the 2nd BAH humbug event with more sligh or as I dubbed it, Dan Paskins Presents. 4-1 in swiss, and out in the quarters in a tight 3 game set vs u-Tinker. G3 he had double blue blast and Chill and I only had 1 red blast to answer it. Good enough for 5th and a nice stamped Goblin Recruiter!!

Made the T8 of the 2nd Big Apple Highlander event with Trusty Sligh. Went 3-1 in the swiss, could have possibly gone 4-0 with a few different decisions. Lost in the quarterfinals again but had a blast as usual! So many cool cards getting play and nothing feels overpowered! Just needs to add Portal 😁

Last time I tried this it was 4 Oath and 2 Cemetery and I wanted to see how well I could fuel Oversold Cemetery with cyclers and sacrifice effects. Bringing back Ravenous Rats is always fun!

Middle School is an offshoot of Premodern with a different banned list so whenever I play in a Romancing the Stones online event (stonesmtg.com) I always try to play a card banned in Premodern. First tournament I played in I lived my Jon Finkle dreams and played U Tinker with 4x Grim Monolith

I don't play much Classic Legacy but I keep meaning to play more of it! This was the first time I played and I could have easily gone 3-0 and won the event but I managed to misplay the same Ponder twice in R2 and ended 2-1.
