Actually the morbidity and mortality of the virus has decreased from the Delta days which data readily confirms. That combined with limited immunity from vaccines and infection has decreased the risk. That said do what you doctor recommends for you!

If that is recommended by your physician because you have increased risk from Covid I get it. If you’re healthy and do not have higher risk then it’s not necessary. Covid-19 no longer carries the morbidity and mortality it did for those who are healthy as once did with Delta. Do what right for you!

That’s right Gavin. You can be a real Christian or you can be MAGA but you can’t be both. MAGA despises the basic Christian values of empathy and kindness. They revel in the suffering of others to fill the black hole where most have empathy. All of that is incompatible with the values Jesus taught

There was a generation of Germans after WWI that were raised like wolves and took joy in tearing down every thing they could be it social norms or societal protections. They were nihilistic and lacked empathy for the plight of others. GenX is Americas version of that donkey.

It’s disgraceful but not exactly all that surprising given our climate here. Some good natured banter is part of all sports but taking it to personal level, verbal threats of violence, and just generally disgusting comments is reprehensible

I am a realist. Americans won’t give up their guns but I do think most reasonable gun owners do not oppose some form of reasonable regulation. At the end of the day we have to deal with mental health. We can’t just ignore it and act surprised when the clearly mentally ill person does crazy things

Amazing how quick congress can find money to increase their protection but only have thoughts and prayers for schoolchildren who are killed by gun toting maniacs.
Let congress have the same protections we the citizens have. Maybe then they will get the fear we have sending our kids to school

I have said that I have empathy for the Kirk family and that what happened to him should never happen. That said, ignoring the man’s long standing history of misogyny, xenophobia and war on empathy is ridiculous. Dying does not make you a good person, caring for you fellow human beings does.

Oh and far as Hitler…..plenty of people who opposed him committed political violence. Same for Mussolini. Same for Stalin. used that violence to justify using the power of government to arrest, kill or silence opponents. I get the anger and wanting to do something but violence leads to oblivion

I don’t think you understand historically how political violence plays out for the society as a whole or the groups who commit it. Ghandi knew and did not commit violence. MLK knew and filled his lead. Lenin, Mao, Pol Pot, Robsoierre and others did not. Pick your ending.
