And, do the wealthy choose that for their children? Of course not.

People with power and money still send their children to college. Because they view college as worth it just for the education, experience and connections. Not only as job preparation.

It takes an electrician 6 years to finish training between school and apprenticeship. That is higher education.

The “college is a waste” argument is actually sending people into the world with no safety net and no back up plan to cycle through entry level jobs.

Similar to the ongoing argument over the last 10 years “college isn’t worth it and more people should go into the trades.”

That is a false choice. It’s not college vs trades. It’s education vs anti-intellectualism. Rich kids go to college. It’s the loans that aren’t worth it, not the education.
