the person posting has her own insecurities and dysphoria too. perhaps she was posting to claim ownership over her own body, to do something nice for herself.

centering your dysphoria in that discussion stifles that celebration. makes her feel guilty for daring to feel good about herself.

transition is hard. i get it. our bodies often work against us. or refuse to cooperate in the ways we’d like.

but that’s what makes it even more important to build each other up, whenever we can. 💖
