Seabird Ecologist interested in movement, foraging ecology and navigation. Recently moved to Lund and currently getting to grips with life in Sweden. Spend an unreasonable amount of time stood on a hill waiting for birds to fly past. He/Him.
Nice to relocate the female-type Blue-winged Teal on Hayle with @lobb66.bsky.social this afternoon - after a week without a report and 45 minutes of trying to pin it down in crap light it felt almost as a good as a self-find! #UKbirding

Just finished the excellent “Local” by @alastairhumphreys.bsky.social. A highly enjoyable read that’s bolstered my enthusiasm to get out and explore the nature on my doorstep. One of the most inspiring books I’ve read in a while I’d recommend it to anyone interested in nature and the outdoors.

Just finished the excellent “Saving Us” by @katharinehayhoe.com - a chance pickup in Lund library! In it, Katharine discusses the psychology around climate change and provides a detailed guide, with engaging examples, of how to start positive conversations about the subject. Well worth a read!
