Which one?

The West Wing was generally very bad for peoples’ brains, but had some gem lines, one of them on this. One character quipped (paraphrasing), “Lots of voters have a moral objection to tanks, but they still have to pay for them.”

I would suggest that doing significantly better than we are doing now, does not require the end of capitalism. Quite frankly, housing as a human right, does not require the end of capitalism, either.

This seems like it would trigger backlash? Maybe? Like standard decorum in Washington for the past 3 decades has dictated that both parties had to at least pretend to care about disabled people because inevitably some powerful Republican Senator had a disabled relative they cared about.

Agreed she's not "far left" and a lot of this is about their stereotypes of a Black woman. But I will say what this pundit class wants is a candidate whose launch ad says, "I'm not like other Democrats. I've worked with President Trump and I'll work with him some more if you elect me to the Senate."

Parathyroidectomy is an outpatient procedure. I’d certainly give that a go before literally telling her the best option is to off herself.

As a huge advocate for legal assisted dying, this case is asinine. The operation she needs is a fucking outpatient procedure.

I've been a victim of the messed up PREA policy but as a trans woman in a men's facility it was my only protection at times. I have contact with over 20 trans girls in PA State Prisons as part of an advocate org. They are scared for their lives at this latest BS! Sending you Strength in Unity, Sis.

This is literally me after reading a New York Times article about youth gender-affirming care.

Right, which is why I’m not entirely critical of the choice Johnson made to kill him how he did. It’s just that we, unfortunately, don’t get any payoff from it because Abrams retconned the stupid “Snoke was Palpatine’s clone” bullshit.

Thrawn in Ashoka is what Palpatine should’ve been, IMO. Lars Mikkelsen plays one scary motherfucker. He’s intimidating to all of the space wizards around him, who could decapitate him with their lightsabers in seconds.

By 2015 fans had an entire prequel trilogy in their brains explaining Palpatine, which wasn’t the case in 1983. The franchise was fundamentally different decades later, and I think a small amount of exposition became necessary to meet the expectations.
