Religious Studies at NC State is hosting Rebecca Maloy from Notre Dame on November 2. She will present her research on chant in medieval Iberia. Please attend if you're in/near Raleigh, and share with those interested in chant, ritual, music, religion, etc.

Looking forward to this event at Northwestern. I will introduce experiences from my transgender friends in Soka Gakkai. How they navigate upheavals within their religion, Japanese law, and other forces challenges doctrinal conventions, institutional fixity, identity, and what counts as "religion."
