It's more fun to re-explore Gnome ( as I was doing with Xubuntu last week ) than to explore Pixel's update from Trixie.

so yeah, i'm pleased with my decision.
Pleased.

Once I started my PiHole, my anger and frustration with ads went so low in my life. I think it's a good therapy-device. They should have these at Walgreen's for irate individuals.

Dang. I'd try a different reader before a different Pi

It's refreshing to hear people booing these ai-pushers in these communities. Why would I install a Trash Virus on one of my special little Pis?

this looks really cool! just hit play on the video.
First question before watching is: Is this similar to QubesOS?
excited

curious. Did you use an old SDcard adapter in your x86 to burn onto the little card? maybe that adapter did it, and didn't show up til running in the Pi?

It's possible to run an OS off a USB3a. Not the first choice. But if the Pi's SDreader... boo

this is my least favorite part of the "5" series. I lost my adapter for 6mo. Wouldn't admit that I had to order a new one. Just left the Pi gathering dust. -found the adapter though. Happy ending. Cool story

also good: Blue Sticky Tak, & those moldable gummy rubber erasers you get in art stores

The power of the Fork makes Linux immortal.
Linux is Legion

That's kindof what I thought. I've had the same computers here running the same games on different OS's and, boy-o-boy, I am NOT detail oriented to notice any difference in performance.

CachyOS, Bazzite, ChimeraOS, etc... They're wicked awesome; but not "necessary" to my Average Joe taste.

I came to this thread to say exactly this. (i'd throw in some x's & z's to the spelling tho)

more detail: I was using a Surface Pro, and there is a specific Surface Pro kernel that I downloaded

If Debian has the BIOS bug too, search for a kernel to replace the default kernel that comes with it. Debian works great on my tablet!
