I was trying to match Molly Mendoza's effortless framing of the first and last panel from her short story in DSTLRY's Come Find Me (first image). And it came out like it's shown in the 2nd image. Those multiple fills and outlines did their job nicely, If I may :)

Case in point: look at the Appearance tab on a caption style I designed for a 4-page story last year. There's 8 captions total in that short. 😵

Put that phrase into a tshirt and I'll buy one in every color!
