Made a go at La Luz trail today but it got too icy above mile 5, even with microspikes. Still a gorgeous day in the Sandias.

Went for a hike with a group to Polvadera Mountain. Steep climb but worth it. Then stopped at Bernardo-Ladd Gordon to check out the san cranes and a gorgeous sunset.

I did some volunteer time for Albuquerque Open Spaces this morning. My main service is picking up dog crap left by lazy pet owners (17 piles today - not a job requirement but an environmentally good deed). The benefit is I get to see stuff like this. I can see it anyway but now I have an excuse.

Ordered a new backpack and it arrived in the mail while I was in Houston for my trial. Big improvement over my current model, which I will now use solely for my ABQ Open Spaces volunteer work. I am now able to leap from tall mountains in a single bound. (That doesn't sound quite right, does it?)
