AI—not even architecturally specific ones—understand variations in brick bond. Just try to get one to render even a simple wall in stack bond. You’ll get running bond every time.

When Apple uses the term “optical-quality zoom,” they mean sensor cropping. That’s not zoom regardless of nice looking computational results at social media sizes. Pro models describe a 56% larger sensor, but that only applies to one. The wide/macro and telephoto ones are tiny.

Why the hell can’t we outwit this incompetent cabal?

Again? This psychedelic Jesus youth book follows me everywhere! I find a copy every time I thrift down South.

Freshly emerged Amanita jacksonii is allegedly edible, but I won’t be finding out. It’s like an arcade joystick.

The Olka hanger is Palaset’s best seller and has been manufactured for decades so, of course, The Container Store no longer carries it. In fact, US customers must order from Finland. I have done so.

This decal has waited a few years to ever get stuck on a window. Now if only we had the actual A-frame…

Trying to beat the rain on my walk was a mistake. There were too many breaks in the shade for radiation not to be a problem at this hour. The temperature itself was tolerable, but I had to cut things short. No heat stroke today!

Room&Board has exceptional customer service, but the Bradford wing chair changed from button tufts to darts, and that design isn’t enough to hold curves in more rigid fabrics. Make sure you get chenille or bouclé if at all. They handled the return fine.

Another of Atlanta’s Moderne condos could be perfect in the right hands. I looked at a unit being auctioned, and it was at the intersection of original features and needing everything - a project for someone else.

Aha! Still no sponge refills, but it’s cheap. The sponge itself is biodegradable-ish.

Got to love Trail Tags - so much better than mere pins in a map app. These still need to be put on a bag or something (again).

Many would reject any house with a mansard roof. There are some uggos for sure, but don’t poo-poo them all. Fill them with Knoll furniture, and you’ll be fine. It’s a very specific slice of modernism.

Why do companies describe their synthetic fabric garments as “breathable?” Quick-drying, perhaps, but I’ve never had a piece that didn’t feel like wearing a trash bag. Cotton it is.

These cello sponge glass cleaners aren’t too hard to find, but the sponge refills seem to have disappeared. I hate to buy the whole thing when cello is biodegradable unlike the handle.

Andor is good stuff - and I’m spoiling nothing - but the Franco-sounding Ghor language and all those berets? Could you beat us over the head with the French resistance any harder?

Mountain laurel is not common this far south, but there are little pockets of old growth forest somehow in North Buckhead (Atlanta). A barred owl also made an afternoon appearance perched overhead before being scowled away by smaller birds.

Painting brick is wrong, but painting this fine stone veneer is a serious crime. Why would anybody do this?

Why do Christian puppets ALWAYS look like this? You could at least knock off some Muppets. Better still, make biblically accurate angels in fleece and felt.

If only we could pounce on this one. The elaborate shutters do it no favors, so how about simple roll shades and colorful concealing panels? Also, convert that dumb room back into a garage.

It’s highly disappointing that this doesn’t shoot the jelly beans.

Why so few political post on this account? Simply because there’s plenty of that to read from your favorite sources.

Will “dad shoes” ever go away? How about striped shower slides? Hideous!
